Eyup Mosque - Turkey
This mark imprinted on the walls of Eyup Mosque in the Eyup district of Turkey tells the visitor that close to it lies the body of one of the most prominent sahaba.
The mosque and the district owes its name to the Companion of the Prophet Abu Ayyub Al Ansari r.a.
He was the sahaba that the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.’s camel stopped when he reached Madinah the first time. Hence his was the first Ansari house the Prophet s.a.w. stayed in.
